Gift Set - Notecards & Small Notebook

These are a set of blank striped notecards and a blank striped notebook that I picked up. (The lime green stripes on the notecards are glittery which gives them some bling .)

I punched out a scallop of dark brown cs (similar to CTMH cocoa), a 1 1/4 circle of CTMH keylime cs. I printed the initial using the orchid bouquet color code and the name using the cocoa color code on to white daisy cs...I then punched those out using the 1 3/8 circle punch. I added a lime grosgrain ribbon and then layered the scallop & circles and adhered to the card on top of the ribbon. I personalized this set for my cousin's 16th birthday...I hope she likes it.

Notebook & Layout using Chocolate Alpha

EASY ALTERED NOTEBOOK
I used my scallop punch (CTMH Creme Brulee cs), 1 1/4 circle punch (CTMH Tulip cs) and 1 3/8 circle punch (CTMH White Daisy cs). I stamped my initials with CTMH Tulip ink using the Small Chocolate Alpha stamp set from CTMH.

12 x 12 DOUBLE LAYOUT
The background paper & ribbon are non-CTMH products.

Paper: CTMH Twilight & White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Cranberry & Twilight (cannot remember what yellowish ink color I used.)
Stamp sets: CTMH large & small chocolate alpha, Playful Flourishes (and retired Boy set)

A tutorial by Nona Davenport can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQaRkgW4Sw0. Her technique is called Emerging Colors. I have used this technique in the past and I believe that it is also called Embossing Resist.

Fall Soccer Season has started...

Today was the first game of the fall soccer season.
Below are some pics that I took of my youngest son.
(I removed all the color from the photos, but left my son in color.)
